"Plastic Garden" - an exhibition of contemporary art from Korea

Ever since the official establishment of diplomatic relationship between Korea and China, the two countries have organized more and more art and cultural exchange programs. These programs play positive roles which deepens the mutual understanding and respect between the two neighbor countries. Although various Korean art exhibitions have been hold in China, the perception of Korean contemporary art is still limited and incomplete. In this sense, the continuity of studying and communication is vital for understanding the culture of each country.
Therefore, Minsheng Art Museum presents a large-scale exhibition, "Plastic Garden" — Korean contemporary art 2010, to help Chinese audience comprehend today Korean art. Minsheng invites Mr. Yun Cheagab as the curator, who is familiar with art from both countries and lives in Beijing and Seoul. The show features 64 pieces of artworks by 17 Korean artists aging from 35 to 65, including several celebrated masterworks in painting, sculpture, photograph, video and installation.
The exhibition takes place from 7th August to 12th September, 2010 at the Minsheng Art Museum, building F, 570 Huaihai Xi Lu, Shanghai.
