Video & Audio Production

As a supplier of choice to, amongst others, local government, radio stations, international schools, industrial manufacturers and major expos; SinoConnexion video and audio productions exemplify the standards on which the company is based.

With our history in media production dating back to the 1980's, we were there with open reel tape and vinyl as they gave way to DAT and CD. The digital revolution was embraced with Avid and Pro Tools and more recently Final Cut Pro X.

Fashions come, they go, but one thing remains the same; the story. We pride ourselves on creating the right message, told in the right way, using the right media.

Others agree:
"We could see that they [SinoConnexion] had clearly understood the message we wanted our video to convey when we had almost total agreement with the very first version we received! Turnaround was very fast and we now have a video tool that we are delighted to use at every opportunity."

John Todd, Headmaster, Dulwich College Suzhou

"We are happy with the video produced for us by SinoConnexion. Their customer service is also very good. We would be happy to recommend them to anyone.."

Nanjing International Auto Expo

Seeking an international style video targeted at brands from emerging auto markets, the Nanjing International Auto Expo also briefed SinoConnexion to emphasise the quality of the expo's organisation and preparation.

The British School of Nanjing

The British School of Nanjing upholds at all times principles and ethics that are, well, very British. As such, when in the summer of 2010 it came time to show the school in its best light on video, BSN approached SinoConnexion to produce a number of videos about various aspects of theschool with a brief to stylistically reinforce these important qualities on which the school prides itself. As an international school, alternate versions of the videos were also required with subtitles in French, German, Italian and Spanish.

Singapore based EtonHouse International Education group offers international level education across much of Asia, to over 5,000 children and more than 60 nationalities. SinoConnexion is the group's video supplier of choice in China, producing works that address EtonHouse's continually growing needs.

CCGrass placed great emphasis on seeking out a video producer who could create materials that would withstand the media savvy audience of places such as the UK. As producer of the artificial turf utilized by the 2012 UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea FC, Britain has become a major market for CCGrass who wanted to make extensive use of interview footage from both staff and customers that give credibility to the artificial turf producer.

Happy Nanjing

Nanjing, China, 13 May, 2014 - SinoConnexion together with the Chinese government is making a bold move in the latest promotional campaign for the city of Nanjing, by producing a video featuring singing and dancing around the city's most famous landmarks, to a song by one of America’s biggest music stars, that is hoped to become a viral sensation on the Internet.

The release of “Happy Nanjing (Pharrell Williams - ‘Happy’) OFFICIAL version" comes ahead of the city’s hosting of the second Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in August of this year, and is intended in part to promote the city to would be visitors to both the Games and China in general.

The promotion embraces internet sharing and social media sites that are blocked within mainland China, such as You Tube, Facebook and Twitter, and marks a radical departure from typical promotions by local government in China that uphold Party ideals and are very traditional and conservative in their approach.

UK company SinoConnexion won the contract after taking the initiative to produce a pilot version of the video in March that helped introduce the idea to local officials, while also showing off the potential for viral video marketing for the city of Nanjing.

Keen that Nanjing be seen by the world as a highly internationalised city, yet one that operates in a rich historical context, the Nanjing government thinks of the Happy Nanjing video as being an ideal way to put across this perspective. SinoConnexion Production Director Frank Hossack said, “We have 54 shots in the script; that’s 54 chances to show off Nanjing’s greatest locations, many of which are steeped in thousands of years of history, in which there will be people from all over the world singing, dancing and generally being happy. As a city promotion it’s a tremendous idea and we’re delighted the Nanjing government have jumped on board the concept 100 percent”.

The “Happy Nanjing” video includes scenes shot at the city’s most popular attractions, including Confucius Temple, Presidential Palace, Zifeng Tower, Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, Nanjing City Wall, Nanjing Folk Museum, Zheng He Treasure Boat shipyard, Xuanwu Lake, Laomengdong, 1912 Leisure District, Sun Yat-sen’s mausoleum, Nanjing Municipal Museum, Nanjing Stone City and many others.

Cleared for for rebroadcast and redistribution, the video may be viewed online at

About the global happy video phenonemon
Williams’ song “Happy" was at first promoted using a video advertised as being "the world's first 24 hour music video", comprising the four-minute song repeated 360 times with various people dancing around Los Angeles and miming along. As a result, people the world over have been making their own versions of the video in which people from different cities dance to the song. The website attempts to track all the happy videos that have been made, and as of 14th April, 2014, reported the total to have reached 1,225, with in the order of 15 new videos being added every day.

Dulwich College

Dulwich College Suzhou opened their boarding facility in August 2012 and quickly realised the excellent amenities could be best shown off to their, almost by definition, far flung, prospective boarders (and their parents) via video. Therefore they called in SinoConnexion. The quote from headmaster John Todd (below) perfectly sums up the experience that was enjoyed by both sides.
"We could see that they [SinoConnexion] had clearly understood the message we wanted our video to convey when we had almost total agreement with the very first version we received! Turnaround was very fast and we now have a video tool that we are delighted to use at every opportunity."

Oschatz Energy & Environment (Nanjing) Co. Ltd. is a 100 percent subsidiary of the Oschatz headquarters in Germany. As such, it was felt that a new Oschatz Nanjing video should maintain the international production standards adhered to by its parent. Therefore SinoConnexion was chosen for the project, delivering the final video in November 2013.

Asia Outdoor

The Asia Outdoor trade show is the largest outdoor product fair in Asia. In 2009 SinoConnexion assisted in promoting the event to an international audience through the use of online advertising, social media and point of sale marketing. In 2010 SinoConnexion was also the official producers of the video of the event plus an accompanying television commercial for use in 2011. That relationship continues to this day. Here you can watch the full length version of the video produced in 2013.
